German Powwow Circle

There does not seem to be a "regular" powwow circuit in Germany. The East German Winter Powwow has a long tradition and is something of an institution. In the West there is the Westerwald Contest Powwow which was held for the 8th time this year. For most of the time it was the largest German Powwow with over 100 dancers and up to 12 drum groups.
From of which are the Dark Cloud Singers, Flying Mushroom Singers, Four Wind Singers (Aachen and Frankfurt), Fuerstenwalde (Fuerstenwalde), Gigglies (all Women Drum Group), Many Nation Singers (used to be the NAAoG drum group), Midnight Rain, Red Moon Singers, Red Road Singers (Westerwald), Red Rock (Freiburg), Rhinowland Singers, Skunkcap Singers, Sweetgrass Indian Drum, White Lake Singers (Berlin).
